First G20 Health Working Group meeting to conclude on Friday

The first G20 Health Working Group meeting under India's presidency being held in Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, will conclude on Friday. Various discussions are being held focussing on international cooperation for Universal health care, in the three-day conference. 

On the third and final day of meeting today, discussions on strengthening medical value travel enabling easy travel to countries with low cost treatment facilities and also on holistic health care through the integration of traditional methods of treatment like Ayurveda were held. Experts also shared their views on the economic potential of the medical tourism sector. The delegation will also visit Somateeram Ayurveda Village in Thiruvananthapuram today. Health experts, representatives from G20 countries, international organizations and senior officials of the Ministry of Health are participating in the meeting.
