First-ever district-level estimates released by NSO for unincorporated non-agricultural sector

  Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) has published, for the first time, a comprehensive statistical profile of the unincorporated sector across the country’s 46 million-plus cities, identified on the basis of Census 2011 population. Taking this initiative further, MoSPI has now presented a district-level portrait of the scale, structure and economic performance of India’s unincorporated non-agricultural sector across States and Union Territories (UTs). his marks the first initiative of the National Statistics Office (NSO), MoSPI, to disseminate district-level estimates from a large-scale, nationwide survey. ISRO successfully tested CE20 Cryogenic Engine for LVM3 M7 Mission

On September 09, 2026, ISRO successfully conducted the flight acceptance hot testing of the cryogenic engine identified for the seventh operational mission of LVM3 launch vehicle (LVM-M7). The test was conducted at the Main Engine & stage Test facility (MET) at ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC), Mahendragiri. Cryogenic engines for every mission undergo hot testing as part of its acceptance for the flight. In order to conduct hot testing of this upper stage engine under sea-level conditions with its nozzle designed for high altitude operations, a Nozzle Protection System (NPS) was developed and validated previously through multiple qualification tests. NPS has reduced the time and effort associated with flight acceptance testing of cryogenic engines, simulating the flight equivalent vacuum conditions at High Altitude Test Facility. Government amends E-Commerce Rules to strengthen consumer protection and promote transparency

  The Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, has amended the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 through the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) (Amendment) Rules, 2026 , with the objective of strengthening consumer protection while facilitating a transparent and balanced regulatory framework for the e-commerce sector. The amended Rules seek to address emerging consumer concerns in the digital marketplace while taking into account the need for Ease of Doing Business and a balanced approach that protects consumer interests without imposing unnecessary regulatory burdens on e-commerce entities. A key provision of the amended Rules requires every e-commerce entity to become a partner in the convergence process of the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) , strengthening the integration of e-commerce platforms with the national consumer grievance redressal mechanism. 9th ASEAN–India Ministerial Meeting on Agriculture and Forestry and 10th ASEAN–India Agriculture Working Group Meeting Held in New Delhi

The 9th ASEAN–India Ministerial Meeting on Agriculture and Forestry, held on 9 September 2026 in New Delhi, reaffirmed India and ASEAN’s shared commitment to building a more food-secure, sustainable and resilient agricultural future.   The Meeting agreed that the 10th ASEAN–India Ministerial Meeting on Agriculture and Forestry will be convened in 2028. 10th ASEAN–India Agriculture Working Group Meeting The 10th ASEAN–India Agriculture Working Group Meeting was held on 8 September 2026 in New Delhi, bringing together 45 delegates from 11 ASEAN Member States for deliberations focused on strengthening ASEAN–India cooperation in agriculture and forestry.
