" UNITE – Brave NATO " the Ukraine - NATO Innovation, Technology and Engineering programme launched

Ukraine and NATO announced the launch of UNITE – Brave NATO, the Ukraine-NATO Innovation, Technology and Engineering programme on 25 November 2025. UNITE – Brave NATO is the first joint NATO-Ukraine programme on scaling prototyped and tested innovative technologies that help meet interoperability requirements. Ukraine’s defence tech cluster Brave1 will coordinate from Ukraine’s side. NATO has chosen the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) to execute the first competition.  Future UNITE – Brave NATO activities will focus on areas such as:  Counter-unmanned aerial systems (c-UAS) SIGINT systems Robust navigation in contested electromagnetic environments Unmanned ground systems NATO News

‘Taragiri’, The Fourth Nilgiri Class Indigenous Advanced Stealth Frigate Delivered to the Indian Navy

Taragiri (Yard 12653), the fourth ship of Nilgiri Class (Project 17A) and  the third built by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilding Ltd (MDL) , was delivered to the Indian Navy on  28 Nov 2025 at MDL, Mumbai. Taragiri  is a reincarnation of the erstwhile INS Taragiri, a Leander-class frigate that was part of the Indian Naval fleet from 16 May 1980 to 27 Jun 2013. Designed by the  Warship Design Bureau (WDB)  and overseen by the Warship Overseeing Team (Mumbai), P17A frigates reflect a generational leap in indigenous ship design, stealth, survivability, and combat capability.  P17A ships are fitted with an advanced weapon and sensor suite compared to the P17 (Shivalik) class. These ships are configured with  Combined Diesel or Gas (CODOG) propulsion plants,  comprising a diesel engine and a gas turbine that drive a Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP) on each shaft, and state-of-the-art Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS). India Scores Highest Votes to be re-elected to IMO Council, Strengthens Global Maritime Role

India has been re-elected to the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in Category B, which includes 10 countries with the largest interest in international seaborne trade. India secured the highest number of votes in the category, receiving 154 out of 169 valid ballots cast during the elections held Nov. 28 at the 34th IMO Assembly in London. The IMO Council comprises 40 elected member states divided among three categories and functions as the organisation’s executive body between assembly sessions. On the sidelines of the Assembly, the Indian delegation conducted bilateral and multilateral meetings with several nations, international maritime associations and IMO officials to expand partnerships in maritime safety, maritime digitalisation, green shipping, seafarer welfare and port development. NATIONAL EMPLOYMENT RATE

  The official data on Employment and Unemployment is collected through Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS), which is conducted by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) since 2017-18. As per the latest available Annual PLFS reports, the estimated Unemployment Rate (UR) on usual status for persons of age 15 years and above has decreased from 6.0% in 2017-18 to 3.2% in 2023-24. Also, MoSPI has revamped PLFS from January 2025. As per monthly PLFS reports, the Unemployment Rate (UR) on Current Weekly Status (CWS) for persons of age 15 years and above was 5.1% in August 2025 & 5.2% in September 2025, rural unemployment was 4.3% and 4.6 % and urban unemployment was 6.7% and 6.8% during the same period. Changes are expected in the monthly PLFS ratios due to increased frequency and seasonal changes but do not necessarily reflect secular trends. India’s Power Capacity Hits 5.05 Lakh MW

Non Fossil Fuel Sources Share in Installed Generation Capacity Exceeds That of Fossil Fuel Sources As on 31.10.2025, the country’s total installed generation capacity has reached 5,05,023MW, comprising  2,45,600 MW of fossil-fuel sources and 2,59,423 MW of  non-fossil fuel sources (including 2,50,643 MW from renewable energy sources). The details of country’s current composition of installed generation capacity, indicating the share of renewable and non-fossil fuel sources are given at Annexure. The Government of India has taken several steps and initiatives to promote and accelerate renewable energy capacity in the country to realize the commitment of 500 GW non-fossil energy capacity by 2030. Global Indices for Reforms and Growth (GIRG) initiative

The Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation compiles various indices such as Estimates of Gross Domestic Product (GDP), monthly ConsumerPrice Index (CPI) and monthly Index of Industrial Production (IIP) as per the methodology consistent with International Standards.The Base Year of these indices is revised periodicallyto incorporate the improvements in methodology as per internationalguidelines and to capture structural changes during theintervening period and using latest available databases. Further, the Government of India has undertaken the Global Indices for Reforms and Growth (GIRG) initiative for monitoring the progress of 26 select Global Indices via inter-ministerial coordination for driving reforms and growth in the country. These 26 key Global Indices are published by 16 international agencies, spanning four broad themes: economy, development, governance, and industry.
