More than 30,000 Amrit Sarovars dedicated to the country in a short span of nine months

60% of targeted 50,000 Sarovars by 15th August 2023 completed Significant achievement of Ministry of Rural Development with ‘Jan Bhagidari’ as its core Excavated soil/silt being used to raise infrastructure projects in the vicinity Mission Amrit Sarovar was launched on 24 th  April, 2022 in the 75 th  year of Independence as a part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ with the target to construct/ rejuvenate at least 75 Amrit Sarovars in each district across the country and with the objective to overcome the water crisis in rural areas of the country. A target of construction of 50,000 Amrit Sarovars was set to be completed by 15 th  August, 2023. The FAO Food Price Index ( FFPI )

The FAO Food Price Index (FFPI) was introduced in 1996 as a public good to help in monitoring developments in the global agricultural commodity markets. The only major modification made to it – until now – was in 2009, when its base period was updated to 2002-2004. During the significant price hikes in 2008, the FFPI gained in prominence as an indicator of potential food security concerns for vulnerable developing countries. Since then, with the exception of 2009 and 2010, prices of agricultural commodities have remained at relatively high levels compared with those prior to 2008. FAO

It is similar in appearance to the brown bear, but with a slighter build. Ecology & Habitat Broad leaved and coniferous forests to an elevation of 4,300m. Population & Distribution The Asiatic black bear occupies a narrow band from southeastern Iran through Afghanistan and Pakistan, across the foothills of the Himalayas, to Myanmar. It occupies all countries in mainland Southeast Asia except Malaysia and has a patchy distribution in southern China. Another population cluster exists in northeastern China, the southern Russian Far East, and into North Korea. A small remnant population exists in South Korea.
